The Sonnenalp Hotel and Sonnenalp restaurants Ludwig’s, Bully Ranch and Swiss Chalet have all been awarded the 2015 Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor. Introduced by TripAdvisor in 2011, the Certificate of Excellence award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.
New this year, TripAdvisor introduced the Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame to honor businesses that have won the award every year since the Certificate was introduced. The Sonnenalp Hotel was honored with induction into the Hall of Fame, having won a Certificate of Excellence every year since 2011.
“It is an honor for our hotel and our restaurants to receive this prestigious award,” said Johannes Faessler, owner of the Sonnenalp Hotel. “We are especially proud that the Sonnenalp Hotel has been honored as part of the ‘Hall of Fame.’ TripAdvisor is an important tool for travelers and hospitality businesses alike, and the fact that this award is a direct result of our guests’ satisfaction is especially gratifying.”
In addition to the Sonnenalp Hotel, the Sonnenalp’s restaurants Ludwig’s, Bully Ranch and Swiss Chalet were all honored with the 2015 Certificate of Excellence.
TripAdvisor is the world’s largest travel site, helping travelers from all around the world plan their perfect vacation from start to finish through reviews from fellow travelers. When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period as well as business’s tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
