Horseback Riding in Vail with Vail Stables May - October

Nothing feels like the Old West more than a horseback ride through the Rocky Mountains. Experience Colorado’s western heritage from the cowboy’s point of view as you roam through the glorious backcountry of Vail on horseback. Revel in the gorgeous trails through pines and aspens, scenic views, wildflowers, and maybe even spot some wildlife as you immerse yourself in nature. For kids and beginners to adults and advanced riders, Vail Stables provides an experience you’ll always remember and cherish.

The trails are scenic, mountainous terrain that starts at 8550ft in elevation and goes up, up, up and then down, down, much like the ski slopes. Enjoy heavily forested in some areas and wide open vistas in others. Mountain meadows, forested areas, immense aspen glades.
